Catfish is also a TV show but I will reviewing the film. The film is a documentary about online dating. The target audience for this would be people who are online dating which is 18+. Even though it is about dating and falling in love online it could also relate to teenagers who talk to people online who they have never met. Therefore it is aimed at a wide range of people. I think by doing this it attracts a wider audience which then means more people will view it.
How the film is edited and filmed is clever as you never know what's happening next. This then keeps the audience engaged and on the edge of there seat throughout. I really like how this is done. Catfish will make your jaw hit the floor in some spots and then make you laugh in others. It draws the audience in as you may think documentary's wouldn't.
